Sweet little 12 inch 13 ounce AK by Shanker. You can see why it's in the blem box if you take a good look at the handle. Guaranteed for life at $50 delivered.

18 inch 2 pound AK by Sher with all the usual Sher feathers. I don't know why it's a blem except Yangdu says it is. Take it home today for 1/2 price = $72.50

Very nice 18 inch 19 ounce Kobra by Amtrak. Again, don't know why it's a blem but Yangdu threw it in the blem box. Delivered to your door for $62.50

Village AK by Shanker -- 20" and 2 pounds. Took a nasty hit in the field. Regrind the edge and end up with a knife that should last 100 years. Project knife price: $35 delivered.

Call or email.

Congratulations, Uncle, I think you finally got it right after two days of effort. Slow learner.

Back to the drawing board. I'm beginning to hate this new computer but hate the op systems more.

Great Pics ----standing by for specs

Specs are up--- excellent deals

Hoorah! Back in business normality returns--Whew.

Email sent on damaged AK Villager.

Looks like a good knife to work with. Hope I don't damage it further. :D

Good choice Clear Blue. Was busy paging down and getting ready to switch over to email when I saw bill's post

Project AK gone. Semp, Clear Blue beat you out by 2 minutes.

As you always say, Bill, it found the right home. :)

With me trying to repair it, I would have probably ended up with something like a bent lawnmower blade anyway. :D

Congrats, Clearblue!

112" Ak gone. Only Kobra looking for home.

Wow!!!!! That's a big AK:D

A little over 9 ft long. Hmmmmmmmm The Duck should like this one.:)

12" AK GTT, Thanks Uncle Bill.

My old Shanker 12" AK is now mounted in a nice display case to be presented to one of my guys that's leaving. The boys were hesitant to ask me to give it up, 'cause they know it's my favorite little field knife. Still, it was the only khuk we had small enough to fit in the walnut case. I told 'em not to sweat it, 'cause good or bad, karma catches up with us. In this case it took exactly three days to do so, amazing. Thanks again Uncle Bill, you're my hero.

Obviously it's because it got forged with blurry edges.
Got to get some sharper hammers for the kamis.

Beat me by an hour and 12 minutes.

ClearBlue - post pix.

Thanks gentlemen for the kudos

I will most certainly treat that villager with TLC.

Been looking for a project knife for a-wile.

Sorry,I cannot post pics (above my knowledge and skill level) at this time, but I will send a field report when I finish the rehabilitation.
describing the effort and results.

My latest efforts have been devoted to fine tuning a couple Ralph Martindale Goloks(2-01's) and a couple of 18" bladed(#358's) machetes made in England. These 358-18's are some of the best brush and vine clearing tools I've ever encountered here

Martindales are high carbon steel blades that go clunk when the blades are tapped with another machete. The Collins machetes will ping
like a saw blade and seem to be much harder steel. :D
