Blem, shlem.
They get scratched the first time you chop wood with one.
Good basic no-nonsense workhorses.
Jack-Alltrades suitable for almost anything.
Can't have too many.
If it weren't for the higher priced new models
coming next month from the kami's urged to get creative..........

Note the straighter and smaller diameter handle on the Kesar. Gooda fora da smaller hands.

i just ordered myself a BAS (regular priced, i missed on the sale doh!).

Man! I can't wait till it gets here with my HI Bowie!

Poor as hell, wife angry at my growing collection... but damn happy

:D

p.s could use some smoke and prayers to appease my angry Goddess.

;)

15" models were among the first aquired by the regulars. They would make great gifts though, and at this price, it's hard to see why they are still here.

Arrrghhh...Munk a $50 15" AK would indeed make a great gift. Darnit, my bank account is too thin, and christmas is just too far away to make such an advance gift purchase. :( Someone jump on these before I do somethin stoopid.

OK, OK...........

I've been looking at #4 over & over.
Especially nice profile.
It's calling to me.

Email sent.

Any lurkers out there really need to jump on these AKs! This is probably the best deal on a near perfect AK that i have seen. If i wasn't strapped for cash at the moment then i'd be all over that Kesar! New guys take note. You won't find a better knife at a better price than 50 bucks! Especially the 15" AK. It chops, prys, digs, hammers, take dramatic and daring dives off of cliffs. Its big enough to scare the neighbors and small enough to pack easily. If my old beat up AK wasn't so dang special then I would have jumped on these the first day. Hell, someone buy one and try it. If you don't like it, spend 10 minutes cleaning it up and sell it on Ebay for 60 bucks. There ya go. You just made 10 bucks. Now go take a friend out for a Happy Meal. Somebody buy these, PLEASE:)

Sher AK is really a good one but rust scares a lot of people. Kesar is old faithful and this reflects in his knives. I can't figure out why these aren't selling but I never could figure out why some things sold and others didn't.

Anyone wanting a rusty khuk for a user blade
should search this forum for ' rust removal '

Simplest solution,
probably 30 minutes with a stainless steel scubby pad
from the kitchen supplies aisle
lubricated with cooking oil on a wiping cloth
would leave you with a nice satin-finish blade.
Do both sides.

Just keep skin away from the edge.
And sharpen the edge -after- cleaning.

Dave if you see this thread, Ive been agonizing over it, as one of these bad boys would make a good birthday/xmas gift for Chris. But that is just so faaaar away still, and my covetous spirit may be enboldened after a few months of storage. Watchya think?
