There is a listing on gunbroker for 4 NIB Generals, starting at $350.

I have nothing to do with the auction and am not bidding. Just wanted to give others a heads up if you're in the market for them.

but then i only collect folding hunters...

btw: whats happening in the sand box...
inquireing minds need to know!

Tom,
Good to know they are still $60 somewhere! Don't think I want to pay the extra to just have the Pro-line omitted from the blade.

I'm not much into the fix blades so didn't know if the price was good or not. I am still looking for a Buck bayonet though.

Dave- all is pretty much "well" here. Getting a bit rough since they are done with the harvest season, they got the planting done and the mountain passes are open so we're now into the fighting season.

Watch out on ebay you can get good deals.
One time about 2 am i was looking there and a seller had 9 120's NIB for sale 59$ each.
And no they were not the proline versions.
They were gone in a matter of hours.

Also watch out as there is a unscrupulous seller on ebay selling the prolines for 100$ stating "this knife is discontinued".
I gave him the benefit of the doubt and messaged him and told him they are not actually discontinued and that you can still buy them at Cabelas.
He emailed back and said "thanks i just bought 7 more from Cabelas!"
And then he put them up on ebay at 100$ (each) and he still didn't change the text of his ad.

tholiver i hate this kind of people! i seen thoses pro-line 120's at $100 too!

The buyer must beware.....sellers can ask any price they wish.

I have never bought a Pro-Line......never will.

I just don't like the look of that Logo.

I do buy the Buck 120s, though.....every now and then.

Gooooood MORNING DOC!
and jest how many o dem 120 hog legs do ya got?
me i would like to see ya folding hunters dont ya know!

So, I called Pete and he says the sheath was sent separately due to a glitch in the system, but all is well and the knife should be arriving today or tomorrow.

Their outgoing doesn't get picked up until they have a certain number of packages and that sometimes slows things down.

So far, so good. Now I wait.

Dave, I'm just a novice......bet I don't have more than ten or so 120s.

And I'd never let you get near my 110s!!!!!

:)

I have as many 120s as CS 110s. Of course, half of mine sez 'Pro Line' on it - the other one is a BR - too purdee to use. The Pro Line 120 joined a Wally World 119 in the kitchen last year... great for slicing a large roast or turkey. If there is ever a 'Zulu' re-enactment, I'll loan it for a short/stabbing sword. "En Garde!"

Yeah its dishonest for sure.
There are good sellers on ebay and not so great ones.

There are sellers there who try to gouge with unfair shipping charges as well.
Its annoying when someone charges you 18$ to ship a pocketknife then when you get it its in an unpadded brown envelope with the actual shipping charge listed outside- 3$!
!@#$!!!
I had one guy who wanted me to pay 12$ PER knife (total 36$) to ship three knives (in one package), these were three standard size stockmans, hardly heavyweights!
He explained to me in an email that the high shipping charges were his way of ensuring he made a certain minimum per knife!

Thats why i'm always careful to get a firm shipping cost before i bid .

Knives to me, are like trucks, use them the way they are designed. I see many folks talking about how they look, not wanting to scratch them, wth? Cover the etching with blood or spray paint and cut something. As far as the pro line is concerned, that's just the lifetime sharpening thing. To us that know how to sharpen, like me, I didn't like the edge that was on it, reground it, and sharpened it again sharper and better holding than the factory. I now how to split hairs, do they?
