on their way to my house ! Yup, a Nessmuk, Lochnessmuk, Pack Golock & a Woodworkers axe. Looking forward to them. Will have a custom sheath set up for the Muks eventually. I will eventually get around to testing them. Looking forward to that. Lots on the plate right now & hunting season is just around the corner. Will update. :D

Anyone have any of these ?

that's a nice condor family you're starting.
Always wanted to try a nesmuk model myself.
Enjoy the new steel bro!

They're some real nice examples, too. There's a lot of fun in those blades anxious to get out! :D:thumbup:

Yes sir ! Looking forward to them. That will bring my Condor total up to 5. Already have the Boomslang & love it.

You've got a BK16 right? I'll be interested to see how the nessmuk compares to it. I'm currently shopping for a 4-4.5in flxed blade, and I've not seen much info on the nessmuk.

Thanks man, and congrats on the new steel :).

I like Condor knives, I have a whole tote of them including doubles of the Varian, Kumonga, and Rodan. Love that leather smell when I pop that tote open. You have the models I haven't got yet. I want the Lochnesmuk and the boomslang, just have not ordered yet. The bushcraft is another nice user, perfect size and good scales. Hard to beat them for the price.

Yes, i have 3 BK-16's, 1 FFG, 1 non-FPR Sabre grind & 1 FPR that is part of a special set that i will gift to my daughter one day. I am not sure if you can compare the 2 though, nessie looks like a whole different animal. we'll see.

Funny how peoples taste in knives works isn't it ? Boomslang is an AWESOME blade for the money. Edge needed some serious thinning though, now it ROCKS !!!

Of those, I have the pack golok and really like it. I've had mine since June.

Cool, looking forward to the slicey taper of the edge.

Give me some time to test them good. I hope to be able to dress a deer or 2 this year with all my blades. :D

The only Condor blade that I own and not particularly pleased with so far is the Bushlore. It is just too chunky for me. Found a good use however, I decided I needed a beater knife for work (cutting soil samples and so forth), and I won't be tempted to use one of my more expensive knives.

OK, so here we go. Got my 4 Condors today. They are already sharpened up & ready to go. Took me about an hour to get them to my level of sharpness. I am no expert sharpener but i do pretty good i think. They ALL shave hair & paper now, including the Woodsmans Axe. Pack Golock is going to be a hell of a chopper i think, as is the Lochnessmuk & the Woodsmans Axe. I chose that particular axe because of the angle of the blade to the handle/hand. It seems pretty even, which i'm hoping will lead to less missed strikes & more accurate strikes. Something i seem to have an issue with, with small/ish (compared to a fullsized) axes. I can say right now, i LOVE the little Nessmuk. Going to be a hell of a skinner. VERY comfy handle. Fits me like a glove. These knives are not perfect. But they are not far from it either. No big deal to me. I may modify the handles of the Pack Golock, Lochnessmuk & Axe at some point---or not. Not sure. I have small hands so it has nothing to do with the product/s. Pics-----cause evrybodylovespics !!!!

Sheaths are great. They have a belt swivel.

No belt loops for the axe. No big deal to me.

He threw this in for free. Cool---thanks 42 Blades. I think i will really be diggin these new blades !!! Stay tuned for testin in the testing forum. Thanks for looking.

I've been looking at the Pack Golok and Loc-Muk.
IF you get a chance could you take a pic of them side by side shooting straight down?

Looks like I can sell my unused Cold Steel Kukri with no worries now!!!!!

Thanx in advance.
Pete

Lol my pleasure dude! Glad to hook you up! You're gonna' have a blast with those. :D

Condor proves there is a huge value at the lower end of the spending spectrum.

You know what, IMHO, THAT VERY STATEMENT, is what attracts me to my favorite makers: BK&T/KaBar, Ontario, Condor, BUCK, etc... .

I'll see what i can do about pics.

What will you be using it for mostly ?

There is your 2 pics straight down, side by side.

Here is one with a 12" ruler for reference. (actual total length of ruler is 13 1/4")

100_1634.jpg

They list the Lochnessmuk at 3/16" thick & the Pack Golock at 7/32" thick. They look damn near the same to me at 3/16".

I really think you would be happy with either one. Just decide if you think you will ever need the front part of the Pack Golock for anything. I like options, thats why i got both. :D

Let's not start on Beckers...I can even over spend on those.
I scored a Fisk reconvexed BK5 that's far too nice to use.
Multiple neckers, BK2's and Tac Tools...some still new...I just bought another BK9, stripped it added a Patina and sharpie camo'd the Micarta slabs.

As for my intended use:
Mostly clearing limbs(we are plagued with unruly Maples) and harvesting wood for my daughter's fire pit.
We have a remodeling business so I usually have a bunch of short 2x4s that need to be cut up.

Great job on the photos...THANX!!!

I bought the Golok machete due to a total lack of patience...now I think the Nessie will be the way to go.
The machete is really nicely finished but as someone smarter than me mentioned...you don't necessarily need that much blade thickness to cut brush.

I can see some digging applications with the Golok IF the need arose.

Thanx again!!!
Pete
