Hi,
My wife and I recently went on a 4 day canoe trip in Ontario. Weather was perfect.
The first pic below is the beginning of a portage route between 2 lakes, and the second photo is the end of one of the portage trails down into the next lake:
Here is some of the flora:
One of our campsites, and a pic of our Clark NX-250 hammock... it was wonderful to be able to take an afternoon snooze in the hammock without being bother by bugs
There's our canoe, fully loaded for the next leg:
I tried starting a fire by friction using materials nearby. I found some willow, and carved the baseboard, drill, etc. The wood for the baseboard was unfortunately a bit green, though it looked dead and dry when I took it. I wasn't successful, although the whole project and failed attempts took about 3 hours! Oh, well... I brought all the stuff home and will try again when it's very dry:
