4 Max Scout is a beast....

If you can afford an Elite, they're definitely worth the outlay.

I have had my 4 Max Scout for a month. It's a very big knife. The ergonomics are great in my opinion. I thought the handle was too big when I opened the package. When I started using it though, I realized how well it fits my hand. I wear an XL glove, others might have a different opinion though. Mine was a bargain when I bought it. I highly recommend this knife.

Thanks for comments buddy, and to OP with video. I don't have a burning need for another pocket anchor, but I'm an easy touch for them. I have never lost my appreciation of the old school C.S. mentality of over building super tough knives. I really appreciate the concept as I find myself in some isolated spots while metal detecting. Quite often a heavy duty folder is my default between something like a SAK and a leg slapping chopper. Particularly on the more casual trips. Funny thing about the more casual trips though, is that the cold, or lowering daylight, rain coming in, whatever, happens now and then. So I appreciate the manly C.S. folders to help save my at times stupid/sorry arse for getting caught slightly less prepared. Then I don't have as much anxiety when caught with my pants down, to get a fire going etc. I'm sure that some here can survive with a broken piece of glass...I would have serious difficulty with that for many reasons. Metal detecting season has started up, I got some new coils for a few machines. So maybe I should grab this brute. I know that it wont seem like redundant wasted money if and when I'm in the Boreal forest and I need a tough tool to get things done expeditiously. Do I need it ? for the love of God no. Do I want one ?, kinda, I'm a knife addict. I'll probably grab, so if Putin begins the thermo nuclear exchange, I can use it to wittle a hot dog stick while I'm chatting with Satan.

I just added one of these to the lineup. And man was I surprised.
I think it is an ideal working man, farmhand etc folder. The aus 10 is far better than I thought, takes an edge very easily, holds it well, and responds very well to a strop.
I like it so much that I purchased another for backup.
I really like how it handles as well.

Why do the mods delete even the mere mention of a retailer? Bizarre rule.

I agree it's a somewhat absurd forum policy. I can understand forbidding to post links or ads of non-sponsoring dealers but come on, not even mentioning their names?
