I recently bought a 4 max in 35 vn. First off this is one hell of a knife, it will replace my fixed blade hunting and skinning knifes. It really is that good, I got a 200 lb + pound whitetail with my crossbow and decided to put my hunting folder to the test.
I spent 2 hrs of skinning, and quartering up the big deer. A lot of blade twisting and separating joints, cutting thru tough muscles and cartilage. I started with a stroped factory edge, afterwards the only edge damage probably from nicking bones, was slight chipping which cleaned up with ceramics.
The overall utility and feel of the knife were spotless, even with a messy knife for the whole time.
I have read and watched videos about cutting paper, cardboard, and wood scrapping, but very few reviews were real outdoor experiences. It was impressive enough to retire my cs master hunter, and my Benchmade fixed blades. As for prices has them just over 250. Which in any market is a best buy. Even at 10 Oz it will always be my outdoors pocket knife.
