This has been my longest period of sustained and consecutive sobriety in years. All those times in the past when I said I was sober, well... I was sober from my drug of choice but I was still drinking or smoking pot. My sick mind somehow justified that drinking and pot were normal. My mind told me I was sober as long as I wasn't doing that evil amphetamine.

Well, now I can say that today I truly am sober and it is by the grace of God.

Thanks to everyone here for their support.

Dont sweat it homie, I've been clean 18yrs, what else I got to do?? Like a compass pointing North, every thing else in life will work from that. Keep it Simple
 
Seems I have allowed myself to be victimized by the "saudi scammer" ... I was very much into my acceptance of the whole thing on Friday. Lost a MT Exec Scarab and I don't have any resentment. If it happened for a reason, then maybe I saved myself a trip to jail for a PC653k ;) Talked to my sponsor about it :D It's just a knife... and I'm alright with this.

And if one day at a time is too much, take it one hour at a time, one minute at a time even. Keep up the good work, 4 months is awesome.:thumbup:
 
Good for you. Take it day by day. My last drink was Thanksgiving '07.
