4 New Case Knives Arrived

Hello,
I thought I would post about the 4 new knives I got today. I have always wanted a Case knife. Now I have 4. For some reason I am not real excited. Anyway, here are what I got. Sorry the pictures are not the greatest. I was in a hurry.

Medium Stockman with Natural bone.

I am not sure which one is my favorite yet. I will say they are sharp. I cut myself opening the Stockman for the picture. I will have to carry them and see which one talks to me.

The Canoe seems pretty hard to open either blade. I did oil it. But it is still stiff. I guess it will loosen up with use.

The canoe has some "gunk" showing on the spring in the picture. I suspect that is the problem. As you intend to carry them, get a solvent such as Goof Off and a metal polish. Clean and polish that area of the spring that is showing and your problem will either go away or improve a bunch. I oil that spring from the inside of the knife well and clean that out as well.

Thanks for the tip. I never thought of oiling the springs. I have oiled the joint area, but never the spring. I will see what I can do to clean it up.

Nice knives! That bone stag makes for a nice handle. I had the same trapper. Great knife though I am not much of a fan of the long spey. I also have the same medium stockman in mammoth ivory. I perfer the cigar style frame. Yours will make a good user. I've never seen one in natural bone. I'm drooling. Good find.
 
Thanks guys. The natural bone is really growing on me. The pictures do not do them justice. Nice simple coloration to them. The naturals are an exclusive from the retailer I bought them from. I think I need to see what else they have.

When the kids and wife asked what was in the boxes, I said Christmas presents. Later my wife asked, thinking the kids where not there so I could tell her. I said I can not tell you. She would be pissed if she knew I bought these. Oh well. Now I got to find something for her that would fit in that size box.

Those are some nice knives. I like the stockman and the copperhead especially. I'm becoming more and more interested in Case- I don't know why.
