The blade is 4" hollowground in 1/4" thick RWL-34, 60Rc, cryotreated. It has a handrubbed finish. The handle is Thuya....some of the finest I ever had. The overall lenght is 9.2". has a nice halftanned leathersheath.

Next is two City Edges..

The first:

This is a bolsterless version of my City Edge. The two knives you see here and below are the first I have done without bolsters. The handle is made of some very nice mammoth ivory. This one has a 2" blade in RWL-34 powdersteel at 60 Rc and cryotreated. Overall lenght is 6". The spine has been fileworked. Comes with a nice halftanned leathersheath

Nasty Necker in the straight back shape. Made from RWL-34, 60Rc and cryotreated. The knife has been fully beadblasted. Comes with kydexsheath. See a picture of the knife in the sheath HERE

Thanks for looking.

I love that Nasty Necker! It looks very useful, yet Nasty at the same time!

Really nice work.., that Thuya is so nicely finished, and I love the little ivory handled model also.... :)

Jens, there's beautiful flow and finish on those knives, as is standard with your work. Thank you for sharing the pics of them. IMHO the Jyen model is especially breath-taking.

Thanks guys!.....It is great to get some good respons!.....I have made alot of knives with "manmade" handle materials so it was nice to do some with naturals again.....I have a few more comming along that needs sheathwork before I show them of....but also with naturals...

Jens, your knives are amazing works of art. When and if I ever begin learning the knifemaking art, I could see myself attempting to emulate some of your work.

I recently sent my brother (who likes knives but is not a "knife knut") a link to see your Pocket Scalpels, and he told me today that he was wowed.

What really pleases me about the knives you've depicted here is the elegant simplicity of them. But particularly, I find the handle finish of the Nasty Necker BEAUTIFUL. It looks like the small waves that you see in a swimming pool on a sunny day when the water is blue and clear. How ever did you get that effect??

This thread is from 2003 so you might not get a response from Jens. Besides, if I´m not mistaken, he only makes folders these days.
