Here is a set bound for Ga. next week. All knives are 0-1, wearing micarta handles and ready for hard use.
These will be missed. The mid sized chefs knife is my favorite of the bunch.
Large Knife has a 7 1/2" blade
Med Knife has a 6" blade
Pairing knife has a 3 1/2" blade

Thanks for looking -

that is quite a set. are the blades hot blued?

there just acid etched to give them a uniform patina so that when there used, any new patina wont stand out like a soar thumb :)

The blades are much darker than I would expect from acid etching which is why I guessed hot bluing. They look outstanding.

Very nice. Did you just etch them in ferric chloride and then do nothing or did you hit them with steel wool or something? In other words, what did you do to finish them after acid etch? I really like the look.

I etch them and hit them with steel whool - I also hit them with steel whool after I etch the logo in. I used to really go at it with the steel whool but I dont any more. I just sort of let it be what it wants to be I guess :)

these pictures arent really related but I thought they kinda were since there kitchen knives as well.

these are what I sent a couple customers today for in progress shots.
