Lay your eyes on this beauty. It's a gorgeous 4" stockman by Reese Bose. It is perfectly handled with mother of pearl. The clip master/sheepsfoot/spey blades and springs are ATS-34. 410 SS liners and slant bolsters. See it at the Blade Show in June.

Awesome!! Love to see some two blade congress patterns if you have any.

Reese was working on a congress pattern today but I can't remember if it was two or more blades. I was locked in to how he was installing the shield and didn't count the blades:confused:

It is very gorgeous, and I'd love to have a custom stockman for my collection someday. Not that I'd ever carry this if I was lucky enough to own it, but it seems rather thick.

Wow- absolutely gorgeous! It's close to the perfect mating of new and old- useful patterns that have been around forever, while mated with a very nice stainless, angular grinds, and an amazing polish.

I love that knife...but, a stockman is a working man's knife. I would already be hesitant to use a Bose knife, but I don't think this pearl handled beauty would ever see the light of day if I owned it.

I've heard of guys that would take posession of a knife like it and drop it right there in the pocket with their keys and loose change. THE HORROR! :D

Bose knives are definitely made to be used but I can see where it might hurt to do so. Maybe take baby steps and cut a string and move up to peeling an apple.

I carry and use my Bose knives, but would rather slam my testicles in a car door (well, not really, but you get the idea :D ) than keep them loose in my pocket to get scratched by keys and such. That is why little leather pouches were invented.

Yeah, the value will go down. (Not gonna sell.)

Nothing beats carrying and using a custom slipjoint. The pleasure that I get out of it is easily worth every penny.

Next time you look at an old(and some new), production multiblade slip joint, take a look at how the blades rub together as you work the knife. It is typically unacceptable to have blades rubbing together in one of todays custom slip joints. Bose knives have the blade thicknesses and clearances necessary to keep them from rubbing together. That adds up and will translate to a little bit bigger knife. They don't make no whimpy slippies!:D
