Hello there !

I create these 4 little scandi bastards. Blades are made from high carbon steel.
Also I created short movie :)

Please take a look

Nice stuff!

I like the way you incorporated those birch-bark disks. (They are birch-bark, aren't they?)

Kind regards,

Jos

Thanks Jos, Yep, that's birch bark. I really like this material, I live next to forest and it's really east to gather it ( best part to do this is spring)

nice. I love scandi knives.

How thick are the spines? I love the look of the scandi grind.. but sometimes it seems that it leaves too much of a wedge shape for good cutting. I'm making some puukkos right now with convex all the way back to the spine. Not as 'traditional' looking... but better cutting. I've recently learned that older puukkos had a slight hollow grind from using those huge, round grinding stones. I'm considering getting something like a 20" wheel for my grinder so I can replicate that.

Scott they are 3 mm thick, convex is great too for knives like that. Cutting edge is a bit stronger
