This knife started out life as a 2 blade saddlehorn but a mishap with the belt grinder yesterday forced a change in plans. :) if it was easy, ya know who'd be doin' this knifemakin' stuff. ;) I've had the blades ground for this knife for about a year and kept putting off assembling it for other projects. It was a bit of a problem child since it was my first saddlehorn and I dorked up the swedges on the actual first set of blades(they went in the "learning box").

Now it's a 4" Single blade Saddlehorn Trapper with A2 blade and spring(Rc60-61), Case bone, SS liners/bolsters/pins, and pinned SS double bomb shield. This knife would have been stamped "1" but I pitched the potbelly spey blade with the 1 on it  :o

Please excuse the quick-n-dirty office pics.

That's damn nice and looks like a stout blade too.

Yea, it's stout. I forgot to mention the blade is 1/8" thick, probably as thick as you'd want in a 4" folder.

Loogs great to me. I like it better without the peanut butter spreader spey blade.

Mike ,that big 'ol spey is great for bagels, and relish on dogs, too, many uses, for the non spey-ing,lol

All kidding aside Kerry,it looks really sweet.Nice job, again Keep it goin' on Kerry

Man, that's a beauty Kerry. I wouldn't want to carry anything thicker.
I really like the finish you put on those A2 blades.

The Saddlehorn is one of those patterns that really has to be handled to be appreciated. I had never really found the pattern to be all that appealing to the eye....then I got one in my hand (a custom by another maker) and they have been beautiful to me ever since. This one is no exception. Great work, Kerry:thumbup:

Nice one, Kerry. You make mistakes look pretty darn good!

That is real nice:thumbup::thumbup: The blade looks great with that swedge.
As already said looks stout.
Thanks for sharing.

Another great knife from a great maker, even if he does consider himself part timer. Congrats Kerry, I would take your castaways or mistakes as you call them, any day.
