Here's another one for your viewing pleasure. Yes..... it's D-2 and Sambar. But at least I changed it up a bit with the Bollox Shield.

You make me sick! Sick and tired of not having one of your knives, that is!:D

Beautiful work. And, I am a recent convert to D-2, so I know what a great blade that is, without ever touching it.

Love the blade shape on that one. Very nice looking knife.

Beautiful knife. It looks as if the blade on this one doesn't have as much drop as previous incarnations.

Nice blade & stag Brent  It looks great closed, too,I like that sunk joint

Actually, I made the bolster a bit wider/bigger to cover the tang. It is almost sunk joint. (Thanks Vince!) The recurve and drop is still there. I really like the way it turned out. It has more of a Remington bullet feel.

That bolster and sunk joint do go well together, nice large knife without being clumsy, good job!

You can send that to me for a field test. You'll never see it again though. A work of art.

Bee-U-T-Full!!! BTW, why is that called a Bollox shield? It looks like a chess piece to me.

I guess my spelling is wrong. It should be Bollix or Bollocks.

According to thefreedictionary.com

"Bollocks [ˈbɒləks], Ballocks US, Bollix [ˈbɒlɪks] Slang
pl n
1. (Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Anatomy)
another word for testicles
2. nonsense; rubbish
interj
1. an exclamation of annoyance, disbelief, etc
the (dog's) bollocks"

My assumption is that the shield is shaped somewhat like a scrotum. Maybe someone with more knowledge than I can give a better explanation.

That is a wonderful knife.... I love single blade Slip's

Anyone would be proud to own it ! :)

That is gorgeous:eek: Great work:thumbup:

I now have to go wipe the drool of my keyboard.:p

Thats a nice one. Great stag, great size and great steel...

I have to say though, I would have never guessed that the shield resembled a scrotum
I liked the shield until I found that out :D

Really great work Brent, I love it. Looking forward to seeing more, especially up close and personal.:)
