I have been using the SuperCut bimetal blade from HF ($30) for a while and it just broke. What are people here using as a general steel cutting blade? Has anyone had positive results with other blades on the market that performed better than the Bimetal blade sold by HF.

I use the Lenox diemaster 2 bi-metal blades, I have been pleased with their performance.

HF bandsaw blades aren't really the best. I would think any decent name brand would be better. For my PortaBand, I am using Morse and the DeWalt Bi Metal blades and they work pretty well!

I use and like the Lennox and Starrett, whichever is on sale. Tried the Supercut on recommendation, did not last long and HF’s return policy around here pretty much went to hell and gone.

I get my portaband blades from Amazon, but they have less variety of 64 1/2" metal blades. SuperCut, IMachinist and some other brands. You should be able to find them online?

Just looked at my last box ordered, came from Action Industrial Supplies, out near your neck of the woods, Cush.
