A few weeks back I purchased a new DE razor and unfortunately it wasn't for me. I tried liking it and used it two more times after that, but I decided I prefer my Muhle r89. I'm not in the habit of keeping things around that I don't use and this purchase coincided with my 400th post, so I decided I would give it away on BF to someone that might use it more than I. It is a great razor, just not for me. Also, I am throwing in a bowl of I Colonialli soap because I like it and hopefully someone else will as well. I'm just spreading the love.

The Rules:

Post a picture of your favorite shave setup/shave of the day/razor, etc. The picture will be your entry. Your post in the thread will be your number from which I will pick randomly.
Must be an active Bladeforums member with at least 25 posts. The giveaway will end Next Friday, April 27th, 2012 at 12:00p.m. CST at which time I will choose and notify the winner. Good Luck!

Feather all stainless DE razor. It will come in its wooden box along with the feather blades that came with it. The I Colonialli comes in a nice terra cotta/clay bowl.

Its that the much regaled Feather Stainless:eek: In reality I probably have too many razors, but this is shaving, reality has nothing to do with it:p I really like trying new soaps too so for the first time in a while I am going to throw my hat/picture in the ring.

Thanks for the chance and congrats on your milestone

I'm still starting out so my stuff is pretty basic. I still have a hard time with my neck and jawline so a DE would be perfect while I practice.

Razor: Lion Brand 601 by Yankee Cutlery, bone handle.
Soap: Van Der Hagen Deluxe and a blend of Van Der Hagen, Curel, and Old Spice Classic in the pirate mug.
Brush: Van Der Hagen and some unknown brush my wife had in her art supplies (super soft and perfect for small areas).
Aftershave: Old Spice Classic.

Thanks for the chance!

Ok, sounds good. Here is my 1958 Gillette Super Speed with Badger brush, Feather blade and soap puck made locally from a creative 4H mom from goats milk and yucca root. This Super Speed gives a great shave. DM

gumbi, I always enjoy looking at your shaving components. Heres a 1921 New Standard, it had a Personna blade in it. DM

Posting even though I have no pics. Just let a newb trying to get started. Hope I win anyway.

Very nice PIF - Thank you. The stuff below is what is currently displayed and used. Lately I have enjoyed the 50's Superspeed razor. I use everything and rotate daily. I really like using restored brushes.

I have couple things to PIF as well as it's been a while.

I want my bathroom to look like that. Love your pics. I love the Tabac as well. It reminds me of the smell of the barber shop where i got my hair cut as a child. I just picked up the tabac deodorant because i like the smell.

Unky, great razors. Any recommendations on older gilettes. I also like old time-tested things.

Right now my favorite razor is a New Standard, the same as the one DM posted. It is probably the most aggressive razor I own right now, but some how it still shaves smoothly. I can easily get a BBS shave in 3 passes with very little touch up, it will also take care of the times when I get lazy and don't shave for a few days just as easy. I would have to recommend a Super Speed (any or all of them) and any of the Gillette adjustable, they are iconic razors and in my eye a must have for a wet shaver.

A most generous give a way.

While not necessarily my favorite, this was the shave of the day.

Edwin Jagger DE89 Barley
Astra blade
VDH badger brush
Bigelow shaving cream
Florida Water splash

Not shown was the Humphreys citrus witch hazel and Lubriderm 3 in 1 lotion (unscented) that went on before the Florida Water. Nice shave...nice change of pace from my usual soaps, Thayers WH, and Clubman Virgin Island bay rum.
