ITE, At first I thought it had been used but perhaps only carried as the sheath shows it . Good find . DM

Cool Deal :thumbup::thumbup:

I actually took the brasso to those buttons on one of my sheaths and they polished right up.:)

Cordovan shoe polish did wonders for the leather as well..

duh...who ever heard of spit shining a knife sheath.... I do get carried away sometimes.

I did the same thing, Packrat!!! Mink oil, too.

Might as well make them look beautiful.

Snap and buttons polish up real nice.

:)

I remember another thing I did to an Akonua Sheath that someone sliced the tip of the blade through the back side for about half an inch.

Took some superglue and sealed the slit. Then polished.
Still visible but closed it up and looked much better.

Just a salvage job.

Yeah.....it's amazing how many of the old Akounas and Kalingas have that slash in the sheath!

Just the design and construction, I guess.

Nice score Armand. There is just something special about the shape of the old Kalinga blade that is just so appealing to the eye's!

Thanks guys, the knife is like new... The sheath is ok... it could use a little cleaning for sure... ITE ... :D ... :) ...

A great find Armand. I like the old style Kalingas much better than the new ones. Here's one I bought sometime ago. Old style pointed guard and micarta handles. I didn't get a sheath with it though.

Thanks Dave, I like the older ones too... The Micarta handle ones are sweet and the stag ones are too... Your Micarta handle one is very nice... I'll keep an eye out for a Sheath for you... ITE ...

I just picked up one today. Unused in the cardboard presentation box. 1996 model with Rosewood handles.

The pawnshop also had a Wal*Mart 110 in the yellow box for the same price. I guess if it was in a box they give it this price. The 110 was really overpriced and this one was really reasonably priced. Just when I thought that they were selling everything nice on eBay I found this.
