Hey nomadic...

Actually a tek lok is a belt loop that goes onto a sheath...

www.blade-tech.com makes distributes the tek loks..

Is there something you are looking for in a sheath ??

Thanks for the info. I'm not looking for anything in particular. Just trying to see what knives are compatible with the Techlok. I like the adjustable angle.

any knife can be compatible. It just needs a kydex sheath that works with a Teklock.

nomad.....,
Like Eric told you...a tek lok is NOT A SHEATH it is an adapter that fits on a sheath and slips over you belt/harness or however you carry your knives.

Hey Nomadic...

The adjustable angle only works in 90 degree Increments, and doesn't work on every sheath...

Eric, I've got a Strider SnG in a sheath that swivels 360 degrees on its tek-lok. It's only connected by one screw, in the center of the tek-lok.

Hey Esav..

Ohh yes,, with only one screw,, it will spin for sure...

If I make may a suggestion though...

You've got to lock that screw into the Chicago screw with one of several methods... Lock-tite, crazy glue and teflon tape work Ok,, however I suggest either a dab of 5 minute epoxy on the thread or a dab of hot melt on the screw, and then quickly tightened to desire tightness..

One thing I would also like to mention about screws locked with hotmelt..Keep Any and all oils away from that area,,and clean the screw before you apply the hotmelt.. Oils will attack the hotmelt and break it down.

I've found that if you don't lock the screw in place, and this is also true on shoulder rigs, that the constant back and forth movement can and will unscrew the screw and the rig could disassemble. A rig that disassembles at the wrong time could mean a number of serious problems.

I find that hotmelt on the screw works if you are changing back and forth all the time, and the epoxy for times when it's always going to be the same...

That sounds good.

I never had a problem because I don't carry it in the sheath very often. The clip is more convenient.
