I just saw this knife for pre-order. This looks like a great knife to represent and celebrate their 40 years of making us happy. :):)

That is a large sum indeed. Lovely knife by the pix. I can think of two if not three other knives I would own if I had that amount of disposable. Still a very lovely offering by S-Co. Thx for sharing..
 
Looks like there will also be a fluted CF model with a plain blade, about a hundred bucks cheaper...:):thumbup:
 
Yes sir, me too. And while the Thor damascus does look awesome, the big 40 on the front doesn't do it for me.

The same for me about the 40 on the front !
The Thor Damascus is nice but I'm not really fan of Damascus.

Anyway at that price it will only be for few people.
 
If the 40 has to be there, I'd like it better if it was milled into the handle or the clip. (the tagging on the blade just ruins it for me)
 
From what I understand, there is no liner on the inside of the carbon fiber handles on the anniversary model, making it slimmer and lighter than usual. I'm not sure if that's true of the non-anniversary fluted carbon fiber one.

I called Spyderco regarding this knife and they told me it will be available by summer so let's see.
 
Yeah I'd have to say that I'd prefer "40 years" being stamped on the clip.

Even so, it is a very attractive piece.
