Thanks for the heads up, Andy.
I watched part of his review of your knife and just from listening to him talk I can tell you what he knows about bushcraft knives: Not much.
I hope you get your knife back, brother.

Thanks for the info Andy!
Around here, Romania being way smaller than the U.S., we just pay the sucker a visit and have a friendly chit chat before kickin' him in the balls.... :thumbdn:

For the OP; What happened to you is totally inexcuseable...I wish you luck in getting your blade back. As for the tracking; I would call the post office or go on usps.com and look up that sort facility, and give them a call directly about the package.

Thanks for the heads up, Andy.

I fixed your quote for you...

I totally concur...and I think he would have been best to do a review after using it for whatever, as well as showing it doing stuff (which I didn't see any video of the like on his youtube page.

There are always going to be weasels and incompetents.

With appropriate caution, better to trust than to suspect everyone.

It'll come back. Or it won't.

You'll be fine. Just wiser.

Btt.......................

I wish I had known you were going to loan him one...I would have warned you. He did a review of the Schrade design I did and it wasn't exactly pretty. I would have begged you not to loan him one of your knives. Using a Hunter for a pry bar makes as much sense as whoever reviewed Brent's Besh-Wedge commando knife placing it in a bushcraft competition against a knife actually designed for bushcraft...WTF?

Here is the video he did of the Schrade knife. Be prepared to cringe a couple of times and be paying close attention at the 6 and 8 minutes. I didn't complain because it actually demonstrated the toughness of the knife and...it is supposed to be a survival knife so I thought what the heck... plus it didn't cost me anything. I definitely wouldn't loan him any of my personal knives though.

As for his comment about my knife designs cutting ability I am thinking it may well have been the operator, it seemed to do ok when I first got mine.

HAHAHA! Spectacularly aimed kick to the nuts my friend.

Yeah, well...as soon as I got the production model I put it through a lot of paces (because of the politics here I reviewed elsewhere) and I was really pleased with the performance especially considering the price point. Then I ordered a few more of them as gifts and tried all of them out a little too before I sent them off. While I did note a couple of minor QC issues in the ten I handled, none were anything that would effect performance and were no real consequence for a knife of that price.

I didn't mind the chopping and stabbing of the rock as it showed just how tough the knife is...they really do a good heat treat with their hi-carbon steel. But after that comment about it not cutting I thought he needed a kick in the nuts because the edges were consistent on all of them and that was the factory edge after whittling a good bit of fatwood and chopping through a few 2 and 3 inch Black Birch and Black Walnut limbs.

Sorry Andy, not trying to hi-jack your thread...just trying to reinforce your position that "Logan can not be trusted with your knives"...for more reasons than you thought.

That really sucks Andy. Lesson learned here is let your customers do your testing and reviews. They will give you the most honest accessment of how your knives perform.

This is sickening Andy! I can't think of any maker as giving as you. I hope that in some way this is made up to you and then some.

He misses and stabs a bolder and instead of realizing how dumb he is he does it again. Can't fix stupid....

Wow. Thanks for adding your input Mistwalker. BTW. You can post any of your reviews, no matter who made the knife right here in my forum.

ok, no argument that the guy's a jerk, but i'm curious about the scales.

they look like black micarta. is that correct?

the reason i'm asking is that i'm in Vegas, and we occasionally get ambient temps around 120°F with single digit humidity. temps inside a vehicle can be 100°F hotter! (depends on the color of the vehicle and other factors)

temps in the teens happen, but under 110 is more common. the hottest i've ever seen was 126 the day after they repaved my street.

will micarta get destroyed in those conditions, or are the scales on this blade something else?

i'd hate to leave something nice in the truck and have it get wrecked.

No problem bro...just wish I would have known sooner.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I may review a couple I make myself soon. Don't worry I'll remain as objective as possible :)
