G'Day Jackie, do you have Robert Clemente's booklet which is a history of Uncle Henry's and Old Timers? In it it he states "an executive factory source confirms that very few of these 41OT's were actually made. SS stamped on back indicates Stainless Steel when most Walden's at that time were high carbon steel.
I have one of these bird knifes absolute mint except for a slash right across the Delrin handle where one of our Aussie terrorist Customs inspectors thrust his knife in his over anxiousness to inspect inside the parcel I had received from U.S.
I complained in writing...result no apology,no compensation, couldnt have cared less and you are not allowed to ring them at the Inspection point as they are too busy hacking into other knife parcels...<I even supplied a photo of the absolute mint handle before it was sent>....
They are unusual little knives with their glazed blade finish.........You already have the variation I believe the Sears 673601 Sportsman American Eagle SS which is similar however has different cross guard. I put photos of them up recently...also similar to 141L older model.... Hoo Roo
P.S. Show me yours and I will show you mine!!
