We'll, I paid too much but I got a 41OT to come one step closer to completing my collection. Now I just need the 162OT for all the fixed blades with derlin handles. It should be mailed to me within a week.

Since I've seen so very few I decided to get it now. I'm also trying to find an Uncle Henry 15 and 165.

If your number ends in 7 they kept getting you and I confused.I was bidding on the same knife.Sorry if I ran the bid up.When you get it check for the SS on the back of the blade.Larry is keeping track of these. Also check the tip of the blade.I see one on Ebay that was reshaped and one of two I have has about an eighth of an inch missing at the tip.I wonder if the SS blades weren't brittle.Arnold

Yes, They told me someone else called at the same time with two different people and gave us the same number at first. So you're the guy! Well, it would have been nice to get it cheaper butnow at least I have it. Thanks for the tips on the blade. I'll check it when I get it and let you know.

The 162UH is relatively common. I have only seen one 162OT. It was on this forum. I was under the impression it was a prototype (one of one?).

Brady806, a lot of folks get some of the 162UH Ltd. models confused with the 162OT, particularly the wooden handled 162UH's. There have been a few confusing posts on this forum to that effect. Irv is dead on that the 162OT is a boot knife as you can see in the link he provided. Everything I have seen would indicate it was a prototype. Does anyone have any conclusive information that the 162OT ever actually made it into production?

thanks ya'll for all the data--what a rare bird it is---sorry for the slow reply, "long time listener-first time caller"---brady
