When poeple ask what I paid for my 42, and I say over a hundred dollars, their mouths fall to the floor. How could you pay that much for a knife they ask. I tell them I carry it everyday and use it everyday, and I think that my reasoning more than justifies the cost of the tool I use everyday. So go ahead and look down on me as you sip on your bottled water you paid a dollar for.

Can't really remember the last time I spent 100 dollars on a knife...

lots of people balk at the price of knives these days. admittedly my most common carry is a full serr. Endura. but as a 'luxury' item, my '42 is tops. all i do is ask people who can't believe the price if they have guns or golf clubs. my hobby/addiction easily comes out the cheaper alternative.

Ain't that the truth........

What i do is i just show it but i don't tell them the price i got it. Cause i know i'll just get a lot of heat when i tell them how much i paid for my knives. Some people just wouldn't understand. Sometimes even i wonder how much i'm paying

It's a good investment. Ask them how much money they spent on the box or drawer full of junk broken knives they have? I bought a Case knife as a second about 15 years ago, for $10 and it is every bit as good of a tool as the day I bought it. It's also worth two times what I paid for it. I get email all the time from, people who say I have a box full of junk broken knives. Can you give me a good price on a good knife that will not end up in my junk box. To which I say: "nope"! If you want a good knife, you got to pay for it. Thanks, JohnR7 www.Balisongknife.com

you think that's bad? ha! i'm into replica props, and that can drain your wallet reaaaaaaaaalllllll fast. a really good lightsaber replica will run you around $200+. A sweet blaster usually costs around $250. A working Men in Black neurolizer (flashy-thing) runs you about $300-500. An "Aliens" M41A pulse rifle built on the original shotgun base with LED ammo readout with ammo countdown, complete with a retractable stock and grenades will cost you a good $2500.

you think you get some flack for spending $100 on knives! HA! I win!......or loose. damn
