I've never owned anything but a standard nylon sheath. Yeah, they keep the knife on my hip, but I'm looking for something GOOD. I've seen a lot of discussion on this subject and figure I'll have to modify/replace the sheath that'll come with my new 42. I've seen some "Kydex" ones around, and they all look equally good. I just can't choose from a picture. One that DID catch my eye was this one:

I don't want to spend more than $40, but I will if it means getting what I want.

For good inexpensive concealex try Mike Sastre at River City Sheaths at VideoSAS@aol.com or Clay at Balisongextreme.com I'm a picky pain in the neck and both Mike and Clay worked with me to get exactly what I wanted for my 42's. Both were under 40 bucks too.

Hey, I have one of those theedgeequiptment sheaths around my kneck right now.
I bought one of those, and one of Clay's inverted V's.
The fit for this sheath is decent, pops out easily if you want it. The depressions on these sheaths are a little deeper than Clay's sheaths, but it's also thinner Kydex material. My 42 pops right in, and snaps right out. (kinda noisy) Clay's sheaths are more of a press-fit. Very sturdy, and versitle. The way that the edge's sheath is set up in the picture is hard to wear. either down, to where it sits below your pocket opening. Or up, to where it jabs you in the side. I replaced the cheezy bead chain with parachute cord, and wear it right at my sternum.
Clay's sheath, the inverted V, is a much better belt sheath. I wear mine on my right side so the bali handle points down to my front pocket. Very concealable under a T-shirt, and handy. I have my choice between my linerlock W/pocket clip for utility, or my bali for defence/fun, both knives close at hand.
