420HC vs INFI

Thank you very much for your work, Vassili! I too am quite surprised at the numbers, but I can't see any flaw in your methods. Any chance of factoring in a BG-42 blade?

I do have this steel, so eventually I came to test it too. I am not sure what will be next so far. May be Bulat which I promised to Ivan Kirpichev to test while ago, but did not - had no reliable testing method... Actually, all this happen because that promise, which now I can do.

Thanks, Vassili.

I decide to have ATS-34 by Paul Bos next - I need some well known steel as a benchmark to compare with it more exotic steels. So it will be Buck 888 Strider Solution.

Thanks, Vassili.

Looking forward to it. :)

Any time I have new number I edit table in my post there adding it to the table, so you may see how it is going in progress. So far to 30th cut it show results below 420HC, so I am wondering is this performance on high sharpness and low load because that surgical steel - 420 suppose to keep extreme sharpness durin surgical operation and then will be resharpen anyway?

Thanks Vassili.
