Can anyone tell me what year the 426 Bucklite was first introduced? For the life of me I can't find any information on it. Any help would be appreciated.

I spent the better part of an hour going through old newsletters for information with no success.chickentrax said:Did you check the Club site??? I know I downloaded a PDF on the 426 some time back...

Maybe that's because I started with the oldest and worked forward. I stopped before I got to last year's.chickentrax said:Then we both better buy glasses...The article is in the March 2005 club newsletter...by Steve Sullivan...page 3...
Anyway...the Bucklite family is listed as first introduced in 1984...
I have the same one you do and the same color, and the best I can come up with is that it had to have been made between 1986 when the 426 first went to a clip point blade and 1988 when it was first made with an injection molded plastic frame rather than two pieces.chickentrax said:Odd you should be thinking of them...I have one of the maroon handled drop-points here in front of me, steel spacer, no date gryphic...dull as a horseshoe...![]()
But the seam between the rockerbar and blade is almost invisible...![]()

OK, so I'm dyslexic! :jerkit:chickentrax said:Clip point blade...it was already a drop-point in 84-85...![]()

When I was a kid, I'd say words backwards...not spell them, just pronounce them...at one time, I could say them backwards as fast as you could say them forwards...![]()
