Does anyone know if the 432 (a 112 with 432 stamped on the blade) came in a regular 112 box? I have one with the sheath but didn't get the box and have an extra box of that vintage. This is the knife that had a natural sheath that had "GOODYEAR WRANGLER" stamped on the flap and 432 on the back below the belt loop.

I already asked him. He didn't recall any boxes with 432 stamped on the nor did he remember any 112 boxes with a 432 sticker on them. This leads me to believe they may have just come in a regular 112 box.

It's funny that I missed the 432 stamp on the sheath..I have the prototype of this one I bought from Pete, one with Buck stamped initials and one without..When I first started collecting 112's back in 2008 this was a 'Major' score for me.The paperwork about getting your initials put on is rare.I've only seen one.I have never seen the certificate you got when you bought the set of tires..I wonder if Buck would still honer it if one turned up?A paper stone 112 would be a perfect new promotion now !

way Cool! you for posting it!I wonder about the 10,000 made tho..It's fairly rare on E;bay, one will turn up like once every 3 months and many other LE's with much less issued show up more.IMHO more show up with initials.

You betcha Clint. My pleasure.

Their scarcity, as you wisely point out, makes me wonder if all blades had the 432 tang stamp. Perhaps some of the Goodyear Wrangler Tire Buck knives had 112 or 422 blades as needed to complete the order(s).

The size and type of lettering Buck used to stamp the initials was only used for the 432..I have looked at LOT of 112's and have never seen it on any other 112 but the 432..Another surprise is the $10.95 cost,I always thought it was free. One of the reasons I love collecting Bucks is all the oddball knifes that are out there like this one.
