Here's a picture and caption I'm posting for loandr.

"44 Magnum Semi-Auto/Revolver, Walnut stock, fixed compensator, first round is pull in double action which causes the slide to advance rotating the cylinder for a single action pull for the next 5 rds. You've gotta get one, makes shooting the Heavy magnums loads like .44 spl. BY FAR the most accurate revolver I have ever had....and thats saying a mouth full. cylinder loads from the bottom not top keeping bore axis in line with hand naturally. Sorry for the poor pick quality iits a deep polished nickel."

I thought the old Webley suto/revolver was one of the silliest ideas for a handgun ever. All the complication of an auto, plus the mechanics of a revolver, with no increase in firepower or capacity.

Still, to tame the recoil of the big .44.... Sure it's not a photomanip?

No, I think it's a real firearm; I saw one similar to this a few years ago, but I think it was in a smaller calibre.

And yes, any recoil assembly will dampen recoil. You cannot fight physics, but taking the recoil and spreading out the impulse makes the gun appear to recoil less. I've shot quite a few Desert Eagles, and I'm amazed at how soft they feel, and that's with some of my own handloads. They are very accurate, even in the fixed sight model.

There have been 'automatic revolvers' before in history. The problem has been that they require precise machining, and they need to be tuned regularly. To make them work, they require a precisely loaded rounded; one that is not 'too hot,' but forceful enough to work the action.

I'd hate to see what this .44 costs. I'll bet it's a mint.

I assure you it is real :-) Holding her as we speak, amazing how it reduces recoil...I have a desert eagle as well and this is much smoother. Not to mention the accuracy factor Note how there is no underlug...instead the weight is ontop of the barrel for wicked fast follow-ups especially considering after the first round its a single action to boot. This one will remain a keeper in the collection for sure.

*Have fired everything from .44 spl's to 300 grain hotties without a hitch:D Gun is still to new to be able to comment on the maintaince issues though. I have been able to disassemble and reassemble with little difficulty. I swaped out a pretty slick Kimber CDP II for this one but they run around a grand.

Could you please tell me what that black gizmo is, the thing that is sticking out of the under-lug. Thank you.

A grand, heh? Sweet.

compensator. Remember underlug (for lack of a better word) is on top, the comp. comes out the barrel as usual.

Since cylinder loads from bottom not top as well, it seems like it shoots as if you were just pointing your finger, very natural ...for me anyhow. So far my max has been 25yds.(only second range outing)
Im sure the pistol can shoot much better than I:D

I like it! Looks to be well designed and well made. And any mechanism that reduces recoil and muzzle-flip is a good thing in my book.

Personally, I recommend the Taurus Raging Bull for taming the .44 Magnum. Taurus designed the most sophiticated porting and compensator I have ever seen on a handgun and made it standard equipment. Combine that with the integral barrel lug and sophisticated impulse-delaying grip and you have a .44 that shoots like a .38. I can post decent times with it on regular IDPA stages using full-powered .44 Magnum rounds.
