all of the jags i've found on the net are made of 420 steel, anyone know where i could find one with 440? or is there even a big difference?

I don't know if they make Jags with 440 blades, it doesn't matter a whole lot to me personally since they only bali I use to cut stuff is my 42. I'm sure that there is some difference between 440 and 420 but I don't know what it is, I guess it all depends on what you are going to cut with it. Sorry I'm not much help

I doubt any Jag has a specified steel content. That is why they call it surgical steel. Surgical steels is just a generic term for a cheap disposable steel. In other words, they can put whatever they want into the steel and it would still be surgical.

Knifezilla has no idea what steel is used and neither does anyone else. They just put down what they think it is.
