440C vs 1095 .... Comparison, Experiences, Pic Share....

Hello KnifeMens and KnifeWomens....... The two alloys 440C and 1095 are as we know are no nonsense, no alchemy, simple and durable steel. One is stainless and other is high carbon. Now all using the rugged knives from Ka-Bar, Eickhorn, Glock, Extrema Ratio etc etc....Share you views, Pics and experiences. Write your heart out and share the pics as well.
 
440C holds an edge better and is (much) more corrosion resistant, 1095 is tougher, less expensive and a bit easier to field sharpen. I would rather have 440C on any knife under about 8" in blade length, but for big choppers or machetes I'd probably pick 1095. That said, if there was more than a 20% or so price hike for 440C, I'd be fine with the 1095.
