This lone Viper popped up the other night on a dealer website on which I happened to be grazing at the time. Having missed the #47s when they came out a few months ago I jumped at the chance. Had I known what a great knife this is I wouldn't have skipped it the first time around.

The timing was a bit awkward since I was trying to keep my powder dry for the TCs but no matter. I've still got two of them on the way. Christmas in July.

Another shot à la Primble. :D

I think the 47 pattern is one of the best all around, size-- both width and handle length. That is one great example you have there.

Looks like a real treasure, Neal!! Probably one of the best looking 47s I've seen. And as always your photographs stun!:thumbup:

vaaiiiry nice.the 47viper is close to the best yet I reckon

Thanks, folks.

Harold, I agree that the length and width are perfect. And I love the heft and purchase on this particular knife. It's exactly what I wanted the Case Sway Back to be.

The mark side stag on this particular knife is thicker than the pile side (see below). That little "feature" really makes the grip very comfortable.

Derrick, I don't know how this got away from the original herd but I'm glad you roped it back in.
