477 Emissary clip issue

I recently bought a 477 Emissary 3.5 to replace my 10 year-old 710 that I somehow lost! I like most everything about the 477, especially the light weight. My biggest issue is the tiny gap between the screw heads that hold the deep carry pocket clip and the clip itself. In a normal pair of 501 Levis the screw heads get caught up on the pocket, which no doubt will result in a nice tear within a month or two. Any ideas on replacement screws with a flat head, or even grinding down the heads a bit? Also considering returning the knife in favor of a 940 that has the same clip as my 710 did...
