486 question

I recently purchased a buck model 486.The thumb studs are loose,how do I tighten them?Are they a press together fit or screw together fit.Any and all help much appreciated,thankyou.

I believe they are pressed. If so then I would try to press them some more in a padded vise. Pad the vice jaws with a piece of wood on each side.
