49 bucks for a Reinhardt Kukri?

Well, apparently that's what they were back in '93! No, I'm not a pack rat, but I do have a folder full of favorite articles from old magazines. I was looking through my stash and found quite a few Becker articles, I've liked the knives for a long time :thumbup:

Sweet find! So when was the kukri produced, camillus, blackjack, or pre blackjack era?
 
I'm pretty sure I remember them as Blackjack, not 100% positive though
 
mmm, if that article were scanned better, i'd copy it and put it in the blade database :) which hopefully contains answers to many of the questions people tend to ask ;)
 
Unfortunately my scanner wasn't cooperating so I took a cell phone pic. I will try again as I'd like to help with the database if I can.
 
In 93 the only thing I was aware of was that I was going to be a father lol. I wish I had gotten a Brute then though, and I really miss that magazine.
 
I got one of the Blackjack Reinhardt kukris a little over a year ago in new condition. I wish I had the heart to use it but since it is not replaceable I think it will keep its cushy place on my desk. But what a wonderfully balanced kukri it is. I can't speak of its longevity or cutting power but man does it feel good! I wonder if the Becker Reinhardt felt the same? They look a lot alike, except for the Becker handle.

Great pics shortwinger. If I had one I wouldn't use it either! Now if I had two, that would be a different story ;)
 
I would love to see Becker resurrecting the Kukri and Brute with Kydex sheath. Both of them looks good.
