Is it my imagination or is the smooth finish on the aluminium on the 490 wearing faster than the the "chalky" finish on the 94x and 47x handles?
My perception is that the edges are wearing through to the alu a lot faster than on my other alu scaled Benchmades but maybe because that's because I carry my 490 more often than I ever carried alu scaled 94xs or 47xs. It is definitely wearing faster than the finish on my Wilkins grips or on my autos from another maker.
I'm not opposed to the wear but wear does look better on blasted Ti than it does on aluminium ..... (hint, hint)
