I really like it but unfortunately assisted is not for me.
it has an integrated safety lock for the opening if that helps
you can see it right next to the axis lock..also its not hard to de assist a knife

SpySmasher SpySmasher I haven't used a BM AO but I know the Kershaw AOs I have seen had poor action once de-assisted and would require modifications to the detent and often improving the pivot to reduce friction.

I like the looks of it. Really attractive blade grind. Overall reminds me of the large Emissary, another good looking BM. But the assist on that really gave you a Thwock! when opened, which was just, I don't know, kind of off-putting. So I'm kind of not-so-fond of the assisted Axis Lock. The Nitrous Assist on knives like the HK Blitz and BM890 was a little less aggressive.

Not that I've never bought a knife just because it looked great. :)

i own protechs and a nice ZT 0770cf (assist) and that pops out like a full auto which i think is great.. even the cops where i live now buy benchmades and ZT's (i got them all hooked) now that i live in FL i can carry a 10in bowie on my belt if i want compared to NY ...one deputy now carries a BM infidel and he loves it ...
