4inch "fighter" around $150?

Hey,

I'm lookin for a custom or semi custom "fighter" type knife.It will be used as a self-defense/back-up knife.These are some "features" the knife must have:
1.4 inch blade or very close
2.Ergonomic handle/secure grip
3.Tanto Blade
4.Multi-position Kydex sheath
5.Around $150

So, what do yall suggest?Hook me up!

Forget the tanto tip and go with the Camillus /Terzuola CQB 1 or 2. Well under $150 and has all the other features you'r want!

I am not sure what constitutes a "fighter" but if you want a compact, extremely tough and rust resistant knife with ergonomic grip, consider the F1. A Concealex sheath from Normark makes it very easy to carry discreetly.Another choice might be Cold Steel's small tanto.
 
For fixed blades, which I'm assuming because of the Kydex sheath, I would go for a Busse Combat Basic #5 (an inch over what you want).

For folder: A BM 710 Axis at 3.9 inches for the lock. If it's a liner-lock I'd say the Emerson Commander for it's quick deployment.

That's for my personal taste.

I would suggest a fixed blade.The knives I'm thinking meet your criteria would be a custom Phase Three Fighter in three different sizes from Kurt Meerdink.They are available from a few resources including Kurt himself,but you can give JT Knives in Port Jervis,N.Y. a try,he carries a good variety.Try the search engine for his website or look in the back of just about any magazine for his advertisement info.Chow,Ralph
