My name is BushcraftBrainTrust and I'm a flashaholic. This has become my favorite flashlight. Here are a few of my favorite features of the light.

1) A Moonlight mode of .2 lumens that runs for 30 continuous days or 360 days for 2 hours a night

2) A reversible pocket clip

3) A Beacon mode that flashes at regular intervals to help you or others (re)find your camp (perfect for the late night cat hole or visit)

4) Uses the same AA batteries that I use in my GPS and 2 way radios

5) Waterproof to IPX-8 standards (it will survive a dunk in the water)

Can you set it up for say 18 and 70 lumens and switch back and forth?

No, with the bezel loosened, you cycle up through the settings (Moonlight through beacon) even time you turn on the light. With the bezel tightened you cycle up from 170 lumens to strobe every time you turn on the light. This light is primarily designed for EDC and I think the most popular modes are going to be Moonlight and 170 lumen, so this setup makes sense.

They also have a tactical version that you can preset 2 settings, so you could have 18 lumen for a loose bezel and 70 lumen for a tight bezel.

Hope this helps

just went to 4sevens and pre-ordered a Quark-AA2 Tactical in Neutral White.

can't wait to get it:thumbup::cool:

Thanks for the info, is the tactical available and does it have the push a little for temporary light?

Yes, on the tactical, you can push a little to get light (you don't have to click it on). The tactical version has has 2 programable settings (one for loose bezel and one for tight bezel).
