I've ordered a quark aa2 tactical s2 from going gear and came to the realization that I don't know the differences between the s2 version and some of the r5 versions like the cool white and warm white. I am sure I am going to love the light but really did not know what was differences between the others.

The S2 is 7% brighter than the R5. Other than that, they are the same. The warm white has a color tint closer to what you would see with an incandescent light like a Maglite. It also has quite a bit lower output, but some people love the color rendition that it offers.
