I'm just curious, if the best selling Hi khuhuri is the 15" AK and the second best selling is the BAS the third is the WWll, what is the 4th,5th,6th and 7th best selling HI kuks?:o

Let's just go for the top ten while we're at it. :D One of our resident historians must have some idea.

I don't have any. I mean, I could guess, like anyone....
I'm not even sure Yangdu does the kind of recordkeeping to know, but maybe she does.

Part of the problem is DOD does not reflect neccesarily what is most popular overall. We may have a feeling from here what sells the most, but we'd have to be able to understand the HI store site sales to know what was the most popular.

I haven't seen many BAS lately. Those used to sell briskly. Bill said the 15" AK was the best seller, didn't he?

The 18 AK used to be more popular than it is now, if you go by DOD sales, and you can't.

If I were to guess the 4th best seller would be the CAK and the 5th would be the GRS 6th 18" siru and do not have a clue on the 7th just my opinion. Bob

I'm sure that the 15" BGRS is in there somewhere. If it's not, it ought to be. It seems to be one of the better-kept secrets of the lineup. Just saying.

I would like to see it as a regular item on the website but I fear that it just wouldn't sell in the sort of volume to justify that, especially with the 15" AK (which is nearly as good) already available. That, and it's not the sort of thing where multiple purchases are necessary...one is pretty much enough. I can already envision the description:

"Start with this. If you need more or less it is available, but this will probably do."

I suspect that the BAS is still a brisk seller from the website, for one-off purchasers. Lots of folks will buy it for the Ghurka mystique alone. Others will surmise that if soldiers have used that model for a few decades, it must be a pretty good compromise, at least as weapon needs go. And it's comparatively cheap.

Its probably only those of us who primarily plan to use our khuks rather than ogle them who get into the finer points of physics and geometry. That's when the virus hits ...

Hey thanks for all the comments, I think I should add a CAK and a 15" Pen to my battery, I have the 15" AK,18"GRS(2),M43,21"Chit,18"siru,18"kobra and 16.5"WWll.
I hope this addition will round out my choices of kuks. Oh yea maybe a Bilton too. Thanks again, Bob

I own several HI blades, yet I am still itching to get my hands on a plain jane villager BAS...not sure why. I guess it's because I consider it the classic khurk.:)

That and when you start saying, "Oooo, pretty," to every sharp thing that the kamis make. :D
