6 1/2" overall
Micarta made from an old pair of britches
Devcon 2-ton epoxy

I'll use two pins in the future not only for strength but to help scale alignment while attaching, it was a pain trying to keep the scales even on the tang when clamping. I'd appreciate honest feedback from anyone that wants to throw in their 2 cents.

ALL comments welcome. Don't hold back.

How about..............Nice plunge lines, what did you use, a chainsaw?

I just finished my 5th knife. You are way ahead of me on the curve. Your knife looks really nice , although I can't make'm I can still see a nice knife and your's is a nice one.

That looks extremely nice for a 4th knife. Even if you've been making knives for a while that would still be nice. Great job.

It looks good, but seems thick, for the length. So, how does it cut? One suggestion for future pics, get something in there for context. A shot in hand, or put a quarter, or something to give more info on the actual size of the knife. The paracord almost does it, but something beside it would be better. Just saying..
I can't decide if it's a sheepsfoot, or a thick little santoku for the campsite, either way it's cool.

Brutal Honesty you say? Okay. The blade shape looks like an awkward mix of a sheepsfoot and drop point, and the handle needs an extra pin. Otherwise nice.

I like the blade shape, sort of modern sax. I think the angle between the handle and blade looks a bit off because of the shape of the belly of the grip. Just for looks, more but smaller thumb grip file work. Say 6 or 8 over the same length.
I like the overall shape and wonder how it would look at 10" overall.
It looks clean, and I like the "flow" it has. Heh, no "chainsaw" comments here :-)
Keep going, I like seeing new makers :-)

I happen to like the single pin... Looks more appropriate to me. Tasteful. Although the shape of the blade is unorthodox, I see no reason why it wouldn't be comfortable to use. Perhaps a bit of detail taper would help, but I'm not sure that's what you were going for.

Very nice work, overall... And very cleanly done. Kudos!

Always good to see work from new makers. Especially of this caliber.
Double pins make sense, however some designs cry out for well executed singles.

Looks awful. You should give it to me so you don't have to be reminded of it. ;)

Seriously, I'm not an expert but I think the lines are attractive and, perhaps more attractive, it looks really useful.

Thanks for all the feedback. The feel of the knife seems to feel right so far and I'd like to do one similar but with a drop point. My sister is getting this one so I thought a blade shape that was easy to sharpen would be good. Reckon it's somewhere between a wharncliffe and a sheepsfoot. I'll put something in future pics to show the size better. Thanks again, I'm trying to improve, and if I don't, well I'm too stubborn to quit anyways.

Do you think that makes it a wharnsfoot or a sheepcliffe? ;)

Nice knife, man.

Wharnsfoot, that's pretty good. Just had a friend make a kydex sheath for it. I usually make them but I was having an "all thumbs day" and he offered. He does excellent work, and is the owner of my third knife. Anyways, almost done with my fifth knife, which actually was the first one I ground out. I can already see things in the design that I would have changed today, it's a large wharncliffe. This has been a great learning experience.

Looks very useful. I like how the handle swells out for grip. Grinds are very good for a 4th knife.

Dude, that's a nice knife. It seems to be a kind of modified warncliff. My biggest beef with the warncliff is tip strength... but it doesn't look to be a problem with yours.... not having a tapered tang, is it handle heavy?

I think because it is so short it doesn't feel out of balance when it comes to using it, but it is a bit hefty for it's size. I've been looking for a tutorial on a good method to taper, if anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it (hmm did I just hijack my own thread? and is that possible?).
