and I drank one--- 23 beers in the fridge-- and I drank one-- 22 beers in the fridge-- and I drink a couple-- 20 beers in the fridge-- I drunk another couple-- more in cooler, I think-- yeah, think I'll crawl over and check. This proves you do not need a fifth to enjoy the fourth---BEER does quite nicely! Cheers! Sandy
 
No beer...picnic with the family and Friday I have the company picnic. The boss can't drink, might say something normal you know.

I'd like for everyone to think about something though. Tomorrow is a day when we celebrate our freedom. To my thinking we have lost a great deal of the freedoms our forefathers fought for. My family has been in this country and in Virginia since the 1600's. They fought in the Revolutionary war, Civil war, Korea, WWI,WWII and I was kind enough to pay a visit to Viet Nam.

I worked for the Government for over half of my working life. Those were different days and different people than are running our country now. The fact is I have many regrets about my conduct in those days but I was a angel compared to the current crop. I have earned the right to be P.O.ed at what's happened here, not so much by Terrorists from another country, but by the disregard for our very constitution by our government.

During my celebration tomorrow I will not allow ANYONE to search me for any reason, will not go through a metal detector, have my personal baggage gone through or show ID. Places that require these things will have to get along without me.

I understand this is not the proper place for a soapbox speech but you as knifemakers realize we are a dieing breed. One or more generations will be the end of people who can solve their own problems, make their own things and get along without Big Brother holding their hand. To avoid this end we have to draw a line, a peaceful line but a line and just say no to what I consider Nazi tactics.

I hope I haven't offended anyone with this. If so I apologize, not for my feelings but for posting here.

My mother is 60 years old today, so we'll have a nice dinner in a good restaurant - no beer though. I have to work later tonight.
Have a happy 4th all of you in the US. Don't overdo it.
 
Everyone enjoy the 4th! No shop time today but friends are coming over, we've got beer in the fridge, beer in the coolers (and sodas too!). Two chickens in the rotisserie (Juliane is wonderful!) Hot dogs and hamburgers for the grill ( I have reservations about the grill, I cleaned the wrens nest out of it this morning and ran it full tilt for a while and the grate was glowing red orange! I'm gonna have to watch it close today or it will be char dogs and burgers!:D )

Oh I almost forgot my wife Juliane made a big ol' potato salad (my Mom's recipe) Slip and Slide for the kids and the tree house I built this Spring! If your in Tallahassee today drop on by!:D
 
Plenty of burgers potatoe salad and Guiness Stout. I plan on being fully nuked by the time fireworks start going off.
 
Finally finished building twelve drawers in the new shop. Taking the rest of this day off, 15 family members are coming this afternoon. Hamburgers, hot dogs, potatoe salad and liquid refreshments of every kind. Have a ring side seat for the fireworks tonight. Sounds like a pretty good American kinda day. God Bless. Terry
 
We're getting ready to head out to the river park for fireworks, taking a thermos of margaritas and lots of goooood foooood.

My 4th will be going to Sunday. Saturday I am making a good old New England clambake. An you guys wouldn't believe this, but Rene doesn't want to come.

but did some skiing and got burned to He||
that's par for the course for me.
