I was looking at the Tarani Series First Responder folder and I really like the looks of it, especially the handle.

I noticed though that it is labelled as a frame lock, but when you look at the right side of the knife (the side where the locking frame cutout usually is visible on a frame locking folder), there's a G-10 scale there covering the whole handle, making it seem like a regular liner lock. I haven't seen any more detailed pictures of the knife, so it's hard to tell exactly how the lock is constructed.

Exactly what kind of a lock is there on the knife, is it a regular frame lock after all, or is it a really beefy liner lock with a G-10 scale covering it or what?

If anyone happens to own the knife, I'd love to see some more detailed pictures of it too, to clear things up.

Thanks for the link, I didn't find their home page at first.

Yeah, it's obviously a liner lock, albeit a sturdy one (the blade is 4 mm thick apparently.). What's so improperly fitted about it you mean? What problems might that bring (I'm not an expert on liner locks)?

Looks like it's all the way over to the other scale side. This leaves no room for further wear to inhibit blade play, so is not optimal.
Looks thick enough though; I'd like it if the lock engaged in the proper spot.
