Hey All,

I got these to try out, started w/ 34 waist/30" inseam, like my Carhartt's, $60.00 from Brigade Quartermaster.

These were WAY too big (I have a natural 33" waist), and I downsized to 32/30, directly from 5.11, Bianca was my Customer Svc. Rep, and she is really good at helping. The 32/30 were still too big, and the cell phone/light pocket was sewn on at an angle, so I tried the 30"/30",which I have not worn since high school. These fit quite right.

I am wearing them today, and they are not going to work. I wear a chain wallet in my right rear pocket, and as I am sitting here, typing, the wallet has formed an uncomfortable lump under my right thigh.

It is a VERY comfortable pant, and I love the nylon canvas material, but whoever designed these made them for someone else, with requirements that I cannot understand. I keep mucho crap in my pockets, so I know what it is like to load up your gear, but these make no sense.

Best Regards,

I would have to agree. We have them as department issued training pants and I haven't found the right size yet. I'm not sure who or what they used as a fitment guide for these things but I just don't like them at all. Not to mention that a "tactical pant" should have at least a few belt loops to help hold up guns and gear.

If I didn't have to wear them at work I wouldn't spend a cent on them...basic BDU's are way better.

the 5.11s are sized funky for sure, all mine are the cotton ones so the nylon might be diff but they have belt loops.....?

they are made for rock climbing supposedly (didnt know they had pants for that lol) and i dont like the way the back pockets are done, ones like std BDUs would be better imho, but the front pockets work ok for me anyway.......

$60 is a little steep for them imho, i paid like $40 or so for mine, but again they are cotton.
