5.11 tactical Wharn Surge fixed blade, any thoughts on this knife

Found one on ebay for $50 like new its AUS 8 steel nice sheath and molle compatible, first production run



 
Looks real nice except for the raised blade and lack of a center handle screw.... also i suspect that the tang might chafe a bit around the front
 
It looks a bit thick towards the tip for my tastes, but I like the overall profile. Certainly it doesn't seem like a bad price for what you're getting.
 
i wish the handles were a bit different. seems like it came out years ago. cool tactical blade, online seems to sell for $90 new
 
Considering what you got it for, if you like the rest of the blade in use, it could be worthwhile having some custom shaped handles made for it.
 
got it in the mail, its pretty sweet. cool design, super sharp. Great knife to put on a tactical vest
