5/16" thong tubing?

Can someone please tell me where I can find N/S thong tubing 5/16" o.d.? I would even settle for stainless if I had to.
I have already tried: TKS , Jantz, K&G, Pop's, Knifekits.com, Alpha and probably a couple others. All I can find is 1/4" and that won't do.

I've got some 5/16 stainless that I could make a piece for you on my lathe.
Let me know if you can't find anything.

I may have some. Haven't used it in years and pretty sure its over a 1/4 but can't remember exactly the diameter. Its stainless and the walls maybe heavier than what your wanting. I'll check it out tomorrow.

!/4" i.d. stainless brake line might be pretty close to 5/16" o.d.

Hit the auto parts store with your mic.

All it requires is drilling a hole and a stamp!
 
Goldmine! WOO HOO! I struck it rich! I don't remember being so excited about something so seemingly insignificant for a while! :D After reading a post from Phillip Patton, I decided to give Sheffield Supply in Florida a call. I was unable to view their catalog online because you have to download it to view. With dial up being the only available internet option where I live that would seem like waiting on the 2nd coming of Christ! Anyway he said "Sure how many feet do you want?" I think it was only about 5$ a foot for the SS if anyone is interested.

I order from Sheffield Supply from time to time. It a good one to get supply from. That's where I get all my N/S from. Good stuff. ---------:thumbup:
 
Ace hardware carries brass, alu, and stainless in 5/16 here locally, also 3/16, etc.
 
Matt, I totally forgot about the tubing but did get it down from the rafters this morning. Its just a fuzz larger than 1/4". This tubing is stuff my dad got at company salvage store probably 50 years ago. There's a good 40 feet of it. If anyone is interested in some shoot me a pm. Its all stainless but have no idea as far as alloy goes.
