5/16x1 1/4" 5160 Supplier

I'm trying to find some 5/16x 1 1/4" 5160 and I'm having a hard time. I've checked with the bigger knife steel suppliers. If anyone has a lead I would really appreciate it.

Try Pacific Machinery and Tool Steel. You may have to convert it to the closest metric equivelent. They don't seem to want to readily convert it for you.

Try Uncle Al. I know he has 3/8 x 1 1/12

McMaster-Carr has 3/8"x1 1/4" but no 5/16". You could give them a call and ask. Usually if it exists they have it.

Matt, Thats not a standard size so most likely it will be tuff to find exactly what your looking for. Here's a link to Pacific: http://www.pmtsco.com/ same outfit Chuck mentioned. I'm thinking you can get the 5/16 but you'll have to cut it down to the 1 1/4 that your after.

Thanks Ray. Pacific is one of my favorite suppliers. I had them on the phone for a few minutes running through all their 5160 stock. I didn't think to ask about metric. 3/8" would also work, might be a little on the stout side though .
