Some of these are going to Blade Show. 2 at least. Here is a teaser pic. I gotta go pick up my daughter. If you'd like to see more, let me know. I have pics of all of them for later.

I saw that Hunter with the Burl in the forsale area. Man that is tempting!!!

If I had the cash now I'd take it, but I'm gonna have to wait for the run to be done...

That Ironwood on the Woodsman is awesome Andy!

Nice assortment of handles you got there. I hope this full time knife making works out for you cause your designs and ideas just keep getting better.

Ebony would look great over hard maple. It would be high contrast though. Didn't think that was your style.

JC, the Bubinga has been cut. Thats all I know for now.

That Bubinga might look great under that Bocote Rooicat..

Woohoo! I know you've got a lot going on between now and Blade, so please don't think I'm rushing you. I just remember how gorgeous that board looked and am eager to see you work your magic with it:D

I don't know whether we're going to get any in the blade show stack. I hope so though.

And.... it's done!
Andy, Bubinga just might be the cat's pajamas, paired up with the bocote.
It looks 'light' enough that it would not overpower the bocote.

Man, does this forum know it's wood, or what?

I'm gonna end up turning into a tree junkie.

Andy,

This is what I mean: The one on the left is absolutely perfect to me, the wood choice cannot be beaten. It is one of the nicest knives I have ever seen, and the one I have been in love with since finding your site.
The one on the right, not so much to my little roo eyes. The top wood is a bit too dark in contrast to the bottom. It could just be the individual pieces. Also, the grain. I loves me some wood with lots of stuff going on, which is why I like bocote so much.
Figured orange and black cocobolo had been my favorite until I discoverd bocote.
I also really like that prototype hunter, which I believe was wenge over osage?

Roo's are a strange creature. Good thing for knifemakers that we are so rare. :)

Or maybe it's a bad thing... I can't seem to stop buying pointy things...

I'm the exact opposite. That African Blackwood over Osage is absolutely gorgeous to me.

I like it too! It is Wenge over curly Maple though.

The best thing about the knife community is the diversity of opinion. Don't feel bad because you don't like every knife I've made. Thats fine with me as long as you like some of them. Keep on posting. I like your enthusiasm Rookat.

If I had any more of the good looking Goncalo, I'd have offered that combo too. Its a good one.

Yes it is, I love my Goncalo/ osage combo. It has a broken in comfortable look to it and is real tough stuff.
