5 /32 Micarta is it still being made.

5/32" ? what do you mean ?
I'm looking at a block of OD canvas micarta right now thats 5"x 3/4"
Just curious, but wanting it in that size, is it so you don't have to grind or cut it as much ?

5/32" is just a little thicker than 1/8". HAve you called texas knife or shieffield?

Kim, these guys carry an amazing inventory, but I believe their minimum is a 36" x 48" sheet.

There is another big company, I believe in SoCal, called Angus-Campbell that manufacturers and sells a broad variety.

EDIT: Angus-Campbell

I just bought some 3/16" paper based black. that's only .031 thicker.

There is a guy on ebay will sell you 6 pieces 13"x 48"x 3/16" starting bid $10.00

The first link here has your thickness but I can't tell about color availability. If you have any luck please let us know. Great sources, thanks Fox!

For those following this thread, there is another option that I have used, but it only works if you have a 2" x 72" belt conversion for your surface grinder. Use two-sided carpet tape to put your micarta on your chuck and grind it down to whatever thickness you need. To the best of my recollection, this was a tip from Kit Carson. I find it works well for micarta and wood.

Kim, Texas Knifemakers Supply has TexTuf in 5/32". I just got some. I don't know if it's more like G-10 or Micarta... I think it's their own version of G-10, but it may be worth a try.
